THE AUCKLAND SOCIETY. ELECTION OF OFFICERS. AUCKLAND, Wednesday. At the 62nd annual meeting of the Auckland Acclimatisation Society Mr Justice Ostler was elected a life member of the Society, on the motion of Mr McKenzie, who said that for six years Mr Ostler had been president of the society, and had filled that post perhaps better than any other president. The election of officers resulted as follows :—Patron, the GovernorGeneral, Lord Biedisloe; president, Mr F. E. McKenzie; vice-president, Captain R. White; council, Dr. 11. A. Chatfield, Dr. T. W. J.
