MARRIAGE OF THE PRINCE

QUEEN’S COUNSEL DISREGARDED. UNABLE TO PERSUADE HIM. United Press Assn.—Elec. Tel. —Copyright. LONDON, April 11. It is understood that Lady Charlotte Cavendish’s book on “The Life of- Queen Alary” was not submitted to Her Majesty; therefore the extracts and references to her sons are transmitted reservedly, but are freely published here. The authoress states the Queen’s influence on the Prince of Wales has not vet been great- enough to persuade him to lake a wife. Her Majesty, in common with the most, of us, would like to sec him married, with the prospect of a direct heir to the Throne, but her efforts so far have proved in vain. The Prince of Wales, on every other subject hut marriage, has implicit faith in his mother's judgment, and consults her concerning most of his undertakings.
