DISTINGUISHED ENGINEER

VISIT TO CAMBRIDGE. Mr James Hunter, Deputy-Chief Engineer to the Colombo Government, paid a hurried visit to Cambridge, his home town, on Friday. Mr Hunter is in charge of large electrical construction works in Colombo, and is making a professional tour of inspection, on behalf on that Government, of the Dominion’s most important hydroelectrical schemes. He visited the Arapuni works on Friday morning, and it is understood that he will make a return visit before leaving for India. Mr Hunter is the son of the late Mr and Mrs Charles Hunter, who were old identities of Cambridge. He is only 26 years of age and his friends congratulate him on holding such an important position. Mr Hunter will be married in Auckland on Wednesday.
