SIR ADRIAN KNOX,
A BITTER ATTACK. SCENE IN' FEDERAL PARLIAMENT. United Press Assn. —Elec. Tel.—Copyright. CANBERRA, April 10. A scene occurred in the House of Representatives this afternoon. K Mr. J. C. Eldridge, Labour member for Martin, attacked Sir Adrian Knox, formerly Chief Justice of the High Court. He declared- that Sir Adrian had made a sensational exit from the judiciary after he had been exposed and after having become a beneficiary to tlic extent of £1,00,000 under the will of a- man who had thrown thousands of families into misery and suffering. / 'opposition members shouted pro- ' tests; whereupon the Chairman, of Committee ruled that Judges who resigned were exposed to criticism and enjojyed no Parliamentary protection. Sir Adrian Knox resigned the Chief Justiceship' recently. He benefited very considerably under the will of the late Mr. John Brown, coal magnate.
