Four men were killed and two others seriously wounded by a wealthy merchant of Nepal at Maihar railway station, 50 miles from Jubbulpore. Incensed because some passengers entered his compartment on a train tlic merchant ran amok with a rifle. First lie killed two Indian policemen who were standing on the station platform. Then lie tired info the compartment killing one man and wounding two others. He killed a fourth man near tiie engine. Panic-stricken passengers and officials rushed for shelter. The Nepali finally was overpowered after a fierce struggle.
