EXPENSIVE SPEED
YOUNG MAN’S JAUNT. “PARTICULARLY BAD CASE.” “This is a particularly bad case. This defendant went scurrying along, cutting the corners at the rate of 35 miles an hour. The fact that lie is young is no excuse, as this kind of recklessness is usually perpetrated by young people. It is such conduct that leads to accidents, and sometimes to fatalities.” Thus Mr Wyvern Wilson, S.M., in fining Vivian A. Lofroth, farm hand, of Pukekura, who to-day was charged at Hamilton with dangerously riding his motor cycle, with cutting a corner, and with overtaking other motor vehicles ,at intersections. Accused was ordered to pay £5 and costs for cutting the corner and 20s and costs on each of the other two charges—£B 16s in all.
