NEW HOTEL AT FRANKTON.
The view produced above shows the new hotel at Frankton which has been erected for the popular mine host, Mr J. Fraser Smith, and Mrs Smith, and which will be ready for occupation from to-morrow. The structure, which has its frontages to both Commerce and High Streets, has been constructed on the most modern lines. It is a noted addition to the architecture of the town, a credit to the proprietor, and a distinct testimony, to the wholehearted desire of Mr and Mrs Fraser Smith to cater to the maximum for the needs of the public. In this latter respect it can be reliably- indicated that ’ the very fullest measure of success has been achieved.
From the Commerce Street entrance of the hotel a commodious vestibule is entered, abutting from which are office accommodation, reading and writing rooms. There is a commodious lounge, tastefully designed ami handsomely furnished. The spacious dining-room, attached to which is the most modern equipment for kitchen and storage accommodation, is another feature of this finely appointed hotel. rooms on the upper storey are covered with paralloor, a special rubber preparation which presents a comfort and provides a fitting finish to the general surroundings. Guests' Accommodation. The 32 rooms for .guests are exquisitely finished and well provided throughout with natural and artificial lighting. Features of the excellent furnishings of each room are a hot and cold water basin and electric bell. Wide and well lighted corridors provide ready access to all living quarters, in Die construction of which latter the acme of comfort and convenience has been attained. Adequate lounge accommodation is also provided upstairs, where a feature of the provision in this connection is a special sitting-room for guests who require ease and comfort away from the main activities of hotel life. The upstairs accommodation of the hotel is fittingly capped by- the provision of three balconies, one overlooking High Street, a second to Commerce Street, and the third over the junction of the two streets, from each of which a splendid view can be obtained of

Another feature of this modern structure to which special attention can be* called is the commodious accommodation w'hich has been provided by public and private bars. In the equipment of this important portion of the hotel an entirely new note has been struck, with the dual object of efficiency in staff operations and the utmost convenience to the public. Hygienic requirements have been specially studied in the fitting out of the public and private bars and the bottling department. They adjoin one another, with entrance from High Street. With only the best brands stocked to meet the requirements of an ever-expanding trade, the public can rest assured of their fullest requirements being adequately provided for.
Mr and Mrs Fraser Smith are to be eomplimenled upon the enterprise they have shown in the erection of these hotel premises, which take rank with the finest in ttie province and enhance in a commanding manner the architecture of a rapidly growing town.
