IMPOST ON WAGES. NEW SOUTH WALES SCHEME. United Press Assn. —Elec. Tel.—Copyright. (Received April 10, 11.30 a.m.) SYDNEY, April 10. The Government's scheme to impose a levy on wages and salaries is estimated to return between £2,000,000 and £3,000,000 a year. It has not yet been decided what the rate will be, but Ministers have suggested that 2d or 3d in the £ be imposed, with a larger rate on larger salaries.
