OUTBREAK OF FIRE

FLAMES SOON UNDER CONTROL. The Hamilton Fire Brigade received a call shortly afte'r 8.30 o’clock this morning to an outbreak in the rear of the Marble Bar tea rooms, but the fire was under control when the brigade arrived. One of the girls employed in the tea rooms was lighting the gas stove and the flames ignited a tea-cloth which was hanging above the stove. The girl pulled the cloth down and threw' it behind her, where it ignited some loose papersAnother girl came to her aid, and between them the girls got the flames under control before any damage w'as done. \
