The War Ministry reveals that 40 poilus in a disciplinary camp at the Island of Cleron mutinied -on March 20. They entered a cafe, barricaded the doors, and sang ditties insulting to their officers. In order to prevent bloodshed, the officers had the cafe surrounded, and Invite<i the malcontents to surrender. Many complied. The ringleaders, who are ex-naval men, and were concerned in a former mutiny were into submission in three days.
