KING COUNTRY CUP
WIN FOR OTOROHANGA. Otorohanga’s challenge for the King Country- Cup against the holders, Te Kuiti. was played on Saturday last, on the latter's green. Some keen play resulted. Following are the results, Te Kuiti players first Tapp, Gilbert, Brown, Harris (skip), v. .T. Quinlan, R. Bell. R. Porter, G. H. Fry (skip). Te Kuiti scored 13 points to 23 put up by Otorohanga. Frazer, Henderson, McEwan, Hollah (skip), v. Crosby, Rowe, McNamara, Cooper, Turnbull. Otorohanga, 29 and Te Kuiti, i-i.
Fericks, Innes, Smith, Griffiths (skip), v. Crosby, Rome, McNamara, Cullum (skip). Otorohanga made 19 to 18 put up by Te Kuiti and after an exciting finish, Otorohanga won the contest by 29 points and now hold the cup. The victorious bowlers speak «n high terms of the sportsmanship displayed by the vanquished players, and of the social entertainment enjoyed at Te Kuiti on Saturday.
