MINISTER OF WORKS.
VISIT TO TAURANGA DISTRICT. The Hon. E. A. Ransom, Minister of Public Works, left Hamilton yesterday and travelled to Rotorua, where he conferred with the Prime Minister, Sir Joseph Ward. Mr Ransom went to Tauranga via Te Puke, and was met there by Mr C. E. Macmillan, M-P., and Mr B. G. Robins, Mayor of Tauranga. Mr Ransom will remain in the' district until Wednesday. He will inspect unsettled lands in various areas, and will also inspect the Government workshops at Mount Maunganui. He will join the limited express at Frankton on Wednesday evening for Wellington.
