RECORD ENTRIES RECEIVED. ti-ie prize-list. The Proverb and Song Competitions, announced in the AA'aikato Times’ special Walkabo Winter Show Supplement on Tuesday, Afarch 18, proved very popular indeed. Town and country subscribers entered into them with zeal and in all over 1500 entries were received. It is interesting to note that letters containing solutions were received from all parts of the province, including Te Kowhai, Rototuna, Waitoa, Alatamata, Bay of Plenty, Alokai, Cambridge, Ngaruawahia, Raglan, and other well-known towns.
