Over £9OO was collected by the Auckland branch of the Plunkct Society yesterday as the result of an organised appeal to the public funds. Mr Ed. Wadsworth, known as tho “ Flying Arab,” who is cycling around tho world, is in Hamilton. The cyclist commenced his tour at Perth, Western Australia, January, 1929, and since then ho lias completed 11,000 miles. Ho pays his way by signwriting. His bicycle is loaded with a sign 'artist’s outfit and has a radio equipped.
