HAWKE CUP GAME. MANAWATU MAKE 295 RUNS. RANGITIKETS SECOND INNINGS. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) PALMERSTON NORTH, Friday. In the Hawke Gup match Manawatu (holders) v. Rangitikei the former in reply to Rangitikei’s first Inning’s score of 177 compiled 295 runs. Rangitikei started their second innings well, having 84 runs up for the loss of one wicket when stumps were drawn last evening. When the game was resumed today the score was taken to 88, when R. Cameron was bowled by Gallichan after a well-compiled 35. Hodder wiped off the deficit of the first innings with a cover drive. D. Cameron and Hodder continued to bat attractively.
