OUTBREAKS AT AUCKLAND. TIMBER MILL DAMAGED. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) AUCKLAND, Friday. Damage estimated at, about £2OOO was caused by fire early this morning in a timber mill at Onelumga, owned by the Parker, Lamb Timber Company. A fire in Eden Terrace at 1 a.m. practically completed the destruction of the factory occupied by the Atlas Furnishing Company and Mr. R. 11. Stevenson, builder, which was extensively damaged by an outbreak on Wednesday morning. It is supposed that smouldering sawdust beneath the floor in Stevenson’s premises started a fresh outbreak. 'The insurances are: Stevenson, £400; Atlas Furnishing Company, £3OO. STEAiVI LAUNDRY BURNED. TWO FIREMEN INJURED. FAMILY’S NARROW ESCAPE. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.). NAPIER, Friday. The Hawke’s Bay Steam Laundry, a large wooden building in Thackeray Street, Napier, was destroyed by fire this morning. The family had a narrow escape after being awakened by a pel dog and a parrot, both of which perished. Two firemen were slightly injured and the occupier, Mr. Howell, received a 'badly-cut hand while escaping. The building, which was owned by Gaptain Lake, of Sydney, was insured for £2500 in the Sun Office. The plant was insured for £275 in the Sun Office and £SOO in the Eagle, Star and British Dominions Office.
