Wilford, High Commissioner for New Zealand, attended the Royal Levee, and was presented to Their Majesties.—London cable. The appointment is announced of Mr C. McL. Smith, M.A., B.Sc., as chief inspector of forestry for a period of five years from April 1. Mr P. E. Coleman, Labour member of the Federal House of Representatives for Reid, has been selected to represent the Commonwealth Government at the International Labour Conference at Geneva. Messrs W. W.
