IMG ARU A WAHIA CLUB. ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING. The annual general meeting of the Ngaruawahia League Football Club was held on Wednesday evening, when there was a good attendance of supporters. In the absence of the chairman (Mr J. Prendergast) Mr W. Blewden was voted to the chair. A credit balance of £l4 16s lid on last year’s fianance was reported. The election of officers resulted— Patron, Mr W. Lee Martin, M.P. (reelected) ; president, Mr J. Prendergast (re-elected) ; vice-presidents—Messrs T. B. Omerod, Welch, A. Hampson, George Knapp, W. Blewden, 11. Williams, G. A. Avev, R. M. MacFarlane, J. Parsons, A. McConnell and Mrs Low (as for last year) and in addition Messrs A. Fraser, A. Carter, D. Taylor and Reddough; secretary and treasurer, Mr A. Williams; management committee —Messrs A. Menzies, W. Menzies, Rowe, J. Tiltleton, F. Abbott and W. Blewden; delegates to South Auckland Union, Messrs W. -Menzies, Rowe and Tittleton: Grounds Committee — Messrs W. Menzies, A. Menzies, R. Benjamin and M. Sherlock; selectors— Seniors, Mr A. Menzies; Juniors, Mr F. Abbott; Colls, Mr J. Tiltleton; gatekeeper, Mr W. Menzies. Subscriptions were fixed at: Seniors ss, juniors 3s, and colts 2s. It was resolved to purchase 15 new jerseys for the senior Learn. The seniors are to take care of their jerseys personally. The juniors’ jerseys will be in the care of Mr Abbott, and the colts’ jerseys under charge of Mr Tittleton. Messrs Glynn, H. Martin and W. Payne were appointed referees from the' club. Mr H. -Morris was re-elected auditor. It was resolved to nominate three teams —Seniors, juniors and colts. The Ellerslie Club wrote offering to travel to Ngaruawahia on Good Friday. —Left to the Grounds Committee to make arrangements for a ground before accepting the offer. The meeting closed with votes of thanks to the chairman and to Mr F. Jackson, the retiring secretary, for his long term of office.
