Mr J. S. Wheeler, of San Francisco, is at the Hamilton Hotel. Messrs A. K. Harden, Cecil Harden and J. W. Clark, of Sydney, arc among the Hamilton Hotel guests. 'Mr. B. Cadbury, a director of Cadbury Bros., Ltd., England, left Wellington for Sydney by the Maunganui. Sir Frederick Lang and Messrs W. Lee Martin and E. J. Howard M.'sP., were visitors to the Ngaruawahia regatta on Saturday. Mr Frank Anseli, publicity manager for Meiro-Goldwyn-Mayer Films, who had been visiting Hamilton for several days, returned lo Wellington last night. Messrs C. 11. Cuff, J. R. Hill (New Plymouth), F. F. Athurson (Stratford), .1. Grey Elewyn (Marton), S.-J. Bond (Wellington), E. Davies and C. W. Moxey (Auckland) arc at the Hamilton Hotel. The Royal Geographical Society has awarded its Patron's Medal to C. E. Borchgrevink, for his pioneer Antarctic expedition of 1898-1900. This was the first winter Antarctic journey to the Boss Barrier. Baron G- von Mehring, of Berlin, who moved in tiie circle of nobility attached to the German Emperor’s Court before the institution of the Republic, arrived at Auckland by the Corinlhic yesterday in the course of a world four. After a short stay in New Zealand lie will proceed to Australia. The selection committee of Knox Church, Dunedin, has decided lo recommend the extension of a call lo Hi ail charge to the Rev. D. G. Herron, of St. David’s, Auckland. Mr. Herron was approached some time ago with a view to his acceptance of a call to First Church, Dunedin, but lie declined .to entertain the proposal. Among the passengers who arrived at Auckland on the Corinthic yesterday were Major A. 11. Bathurst, private and military secretary to Hie Governor-General. Lord Bledisloe, and Sir .lolin Hanharn, one of His Excellency’s aides-de-camp. Major Balhurst was accompanied by liis wife. Major Bathurst is .
