Star Stranger was never dangerous in the Napier Cup but the Martian gelding ran a greatly improved race on Saturday, when lie was narrowly beaten into third place in the Prince of Wales’ Handicap, after meeting with some trouble over the concluding stages of that race. Star Stranger is engaged in the Thompson Handicap at Trentham on Saturday in which he. is very handily placed with S-10. On his latest bowing Star Stranger will require some consideration in flic big mile at Trentham on Saturday, but iie will probably And the distance too shorL
