“ HOUSE FULL.” ERNIE LOTIXGA COMPANY. .AN OLD-FASHIONED FARCE. “ House Full ” was staged at the Hamilton Theatre Royal last night by a company headed by Ernie Lotinga, an English comedian, whose appearance was interesting in view of the fact that he had been seen and heard here previously in some very diverting talkies.” There was- a large audience. " House Full ” proved to be a farce dealing with the complications arising out of the demands of a couple of blackmailers, with an unusual twist in that the villains of the piece were the comedians. The play was amusing in an old-fashioned way that does not make a very wide appeal to a modern audience. The fact that .he “ orchestra ” consisted only of a nano did not help matters. Mr Ernie Lotinga created much merriment as limmy Josser, a character in which he nad previously been seen on the screen. He was supported by a company of talented players, Mr Harold Wilkinson being particularly good as a harassed husband. “ House Full ” was preceded by the vaudeville act of John and George Hardgrove, two likeable young Americans whose exceptionally clever dancing roused the audience to enthusiasm. Their burlesque posing and steps were exceptionally funny, and their tap and “ straight ” dancing particularly good. It was a very entertaining act. The company left this morning for Talhape.
