BOWLING.

TARANAKI VISITORS.

MATCH WITH SOUTH AUCKLAND HAMILTON GREEN UNPLAYABLE, v The touring Taranaki howlers, which for the past week have enjoyed beautiful weather, whilst visiting clubs throughout the Soutli Auckland Centre, were to have concluded the visit with an eight-rink test match against South Auckland at the Hamilton green today. Unfortunately the heavy rain which fell during the morning rendered the Hamilton greens quite unfit for play at the hour proposed. The executive met to consider the position, and a suggestion was made to have half the games played at Whitiora and half at Frankton. It was finally decided that play would begin on the Whitiora green at 4 o’clock. SOUTH AUCKLAND CENTRE. BAY OF PLENTY TOUR.

The following arrangements hav« been suggested to the Bay’ of .Plenty bowling cJubs in connection with the tour of a party of South Auckland bowlers in the Bay district. Leave Hamilton for Opotiki on Sunday, March 16. Monday morning play Opotiki Citizens Club; afternoon Opotiki CiuL. Tuesday morning travel to Taneatua; afternoon play Taneatua Club. Wednesday morning play Whakatane Club; afternoon play combined Bay clubs. Thursday morning play Te Puke Club; afternoon play Tauranga Club; Friday morning play Tauranga South; afternoon play Katikali Club. Saturday morning play Waihi Club; afternoon play Goldfields Association at Te Aroha.; Three more players are needed to complete six rinks, and as the trip, given fine weather, is sure to be an enjoyable one it is hoped that additional members will forward names to the Centre secretary (Mr C.
