In connection with the Aorangi’s departure for Vancouver to-day only the stewards and cooks were picked up from quarantine. .Originally it was intended to lake on hoard the members of the crew held in quarantine, but this was found to he impracticable. Under the rules of the Seamen's Union an overseas ship cannot leave a wharf without a full complement of firemen and seamen. As a result 32 seamen and 24 firemen were signed on for this trip of the Aorangi. The men who were left In quarantine will have to wait until the vessel’s next trip for their former positions.
