SYDNEY, February 24. On Saturday the temperature at 2.30 p.m. v;as 106.3 degrees, the second highest February reading c\ci recorded in Sydney. The highest, 107.8 degrees, was registered on rcbruary 8, 1926. Twenty country stations recorded over 100 degrees on Saturday, Including Singleton, Muswellbrook and .Morce, 110; Mcninde, 108; Bourke, 107. .. A westerly wind brought great clouds ol' dust, causing much consternation in some places among the children. Lights were necessary early In the afternoon in Narrominc.
