Eastwood, the jockey who received head injuries through being thrown from Top Star -when the preliminaries for the Calliope Handicap were being run at the Takapuna course on Wednesday, is reported to-day to be serious. Horry at 250 gns. On Top went to Mr. W. Wade (Auckland), at 150 gns. The Rover was passed in at 400 gns (on account of the Friedlander Estate). Uralla was sold to Mr. Cane Carrington for 874 gns.
