Germany has yielded to the experts’ request that payments be made on the 15th of the month, in return for which she obtained minor ■concessions relating to assigned revenues. A Franco-German agreement has been reached, toy which in the event of any German wilful default . or oomplete denunciation of the Young Plan, Fran-ce has the right to utilise the sanctions granted toy any existin' - treaties.

Herr Schacht surprised the conference by sending a letter icserving his decision regarding the Reichsbank’s co-operation in the Bank of International Settlement. This is interpreted as refusing co-opcration. The “ Big Six ” are now discussing the German delegates’ alternative proposal that another group of German banks should deposit £5,000,000 free of interest in the Bank of International Settlement.
