UNSEASONABLE WEATHER

(To 'the Editor.)

Sir, —I endorse the sentiments so ahly expressed by your correspondent ‘‘Bring Them Back” regarding the effect of Antarctic research work on the weather, and I hope that immediate steps will be taken to recall these socalled scientists. They are ruining New Zealand by changing our climate ,so wantonly. Some circles no doubt Will pooh-pooh 'the contentions of "Bring Them Back” and declare them to be absolutely absurd, but I do not so regard them. We all know that; little things have big consequences, and the flutter of an aeroplane’s wings In the region of the South Pole could probably have an effect upon the weather of the whole world. I say most emphatically recall these so-called explorers and scientists in the interests of SAFETY FIRST.
