The New Zealand Dairy Produce Board has received the following market .report from its London office, dated January 10, prices for the previous week being in parentheses:— Butter.—New Zealand, salted, 154 s to 158 s (156 s to 160 s), (last year, 184 s to 188 s) ; unsalted, 174 s to 176 s (178 sto 182 s) (last year 194 sto 1965); first whey, 148 s (150 s); second whey, 144 s (1465). Deliveries, New Zealand, this week, 1275 tons; in store, 3500 tons (last year 3150 tons). Prices lower earlier in the week, but since recovered, with improved demand. Retail prices unchanged. Australian, salted, 150 sto 154 s (152 s to 1565); unsalted, 156 s to 158 s (158 s to 1625) ; Argentine, unsalted, 150 s to 152 s (150 s to 1545); Danish, f.o.b. 161 s (171 s); spot, 168 s to 170 s (176 s to 178 s) ; Dutch, unsalted, 178 s to 180 s (186 s to 188 s). Market quiet. Retail prices unchanged. Polish, 140 sto 146 s (142 sto 148 s). Cheese.—New Zealand, white, 86s to 87s (87s to 88s (last year, 93s to 955) ; coloured, 83s to 94s (Sss to 86s), (last year, 95s to 975); exceptional, 85s. Deliveries, New Zealand, this week, 23,000 crates; in store, 28,000 crates (last year, 43,000). Australian, coloured, 83s (84s -to 85s); Canadian, white and coloured, 96s to 98s (96s to 98s) ; deliveries, Canadian, 9300 boxes, compared with 4400 last year; in store, Canadian, 167,000 boxes. English, finest farmers’, 110 sto 116 s (110 s to 116 s). Market steady. Retail prices unchanged.

The Gorinthic commenced to discharge butter on January 4 and finished on January 7. The same vessel finished discharging cheese on January 6. The Port Hunter commenced to discharge cheese on January 9 and butter on January 10.
