The continuance of cyclonic conditions in North Queensalnd during the last two days resulted in the flooding of several coastal rivers. Large areas--' of cane country are under water. , •The water is seven feet over the railway bridge -on the Herbert River. All traffic is -suspended. Many dead beasts are coming down the Johnstone River.

The rain continues and the rivers are still rising.
