LACK OF CONSIDERATION

INDIGNATION VOICED. ACTION OF AUCTIONEERING FIRMS. Strong exception to the action of auctioneering firms in holding sales on the Waikato Agricultural and Pastoral Association’s annual show dates was voiced at the meeting of the Association to-day. It was considered that the Association should strongly object to such a gross lack of consideration. Not only were sales held on the first day, but on People’s Day as well, said Mr. H. Windsor. The auctioneering firms were dependent on the farming community for their existance, and to have acted as they did was scarcely understandable. They had found it convenient to postpone a sale on a recent race day, he added. Mr. W. J. McKee considered that the auctioneering firms should be advised of the association’s show dates, so that they could draw up their date schedule accordingly. It was decided to act oa this suggestion.
