Among the many competitors in the sports there are some promising runners and jumpers. Several of the existing school records were completely shattered during the day, especially in the girls’ events- Some of the runners and jumpers in these events finished remarkably well and the times and distances compared more than favourably with those of the boys. In 'the championship events competition was very keen and some exciting finishes were seen. The placed competitors in the senior and junior championships distinguished themselves throughout the day, and well merited their awards- In all events smart starts were the rule rather than the exception, and there were no hitches to mar the programme. Undoubtedly this was one of the most successful sports meetings yet held by the school, a fact which must indeed he gratifying to those who were responsible for the arrangements, judging, starting, and other essential details.
