Anglican Bazaar. The bazaar held in the Town Hall by the ladies of the guild of Holy Trinity Church was a great success in spite •of the inclement weather. The stalls had been daintily arranged and decorated and presented a very attractive appearance. The display of work fori sale was of high standard and great credit was reflected upon all the ladies-concerned-The bazaar vyas declared open by His Lordship Bishop Cherrington. The Bisihop complimented the ladies of the guild on their enthusiasm and Interest in -their work, as evidenced by the stalls. The stallholders were as follow: Tea room, Mesdames P. Hall, McGowan, H. Morris, Birkett, Wilmot and Miss Raymer; sweets, Mesdames Eyre and W. Cavanagh, and Miss Cleary; plain sewing, Mesdames A. B. Jones, Webb and Lees; fancy stall, Mesdames Joy and Blewden; hoopla, Misses D. Warburton and G. Clavis; Girls’ Guild stall, Misses V. Edge, G. McFarlane, M. Webb and J- E. Raynor; produce, Mesdames W- Paterson and Clavis; icecream, Mesdames Gerring and Balnibridge; Christmas tree, Misses E. Smith and McNeish. During the evening good business was done, and a number of articles not disposed of by the .stallholders were auctioned by Mr L. Pettit. Practically everything was sold. Financially the bazaar was very satisfactory, the receipts being about £l3O. Winners of various guessing competitions were: Doll, Miss A- Paterson; spoon, Mr H. Morris; chocolates, Mrs Eyre; pig, Mr McGuer; cake, Miss ZWilton; trousseau, Mrs L. Booth; pyjamas, Mr H. Williams; doll, Mrs Simpson; cushion, Mr H. Morris; cake, Mrs Pryer.
