ALEXANDRA CLUB.

RACING AT PIRONGIA. BOXING DAY GATHERING. NOMINATIONS DUE BY MONDAY. The 65th annual race meeting of the Alexandra Club will be held at Pirongia on Boxing Day (December 26). The club, which carries on each season without totalisator services, provides an excellent programme in the division and with so many horses in commission these days there should be no lack of support. The Alexandra Cup Handicap, to which a trophy is attached in addition to the monetary prize, will be the leading event.

The supporting items are also well arranged and the meeting should draw useful fields and a good attendance of the public. There are seven events and stakes totalling £lO4 with Ihree cups in addition. Nominations for all events will close on Monday next (December 9), with the secretary (Mr W. McCarthy), or with Mr T. Steele, telephone 625, Te Awamutu, from whom programmes are obtainable.
