KITCHEN EVENING AND DANCE. Tho Ladies’ Social Committee organised a very enjoyable kitchen, evening and dance in honour of Miss Jean Nichol in view of her approaching marriage. The music was supplied by Miss Weatherley and tho function was a very enjoyable one. A vast assortment of useful and ornamental gifts was displayed on tho stage. In making the presentation on behalf of the many friends of the prospective bride, Mr C. A. Magncr made reference to the undoubted popularity of the guest of th 4 evening, and wished her every possible happiness in her future sphere. Musical honours were heartily accorded the young couple. Mr O’Leary, the prospective bridegroom, suitably responded. WEDDING DANCE. ' An enjoyable dance was tended to the residents of the district and public by Mr and Mrs T. Nicol, on the occasion of their daughter’s wedding. The Kiwi Orchestra supplied the music, and a sumptuous supper was handed round. 'Mr S. J. Clear returned thanks to Mr and Mrs Nicol on behalf of the guests, and hearty cheers were given to the host and hostess.
