Royal Sword Turned Into Ploughshare.
All Berlin ia discussing a rather remarkable article which the ex-Crown Prince of Germany has written for a newspaper, and in which Wilhelm von Hohenzollern tells the public how he has Dogun life anew, what he is doing, and hows lie enjoys himself.
Wilhelm has, indeed, turned over a new’ leaf, as other former officers in the Army that was supposed to be invincible have had to do. He has gone into business on his own account,
It is not a financial business, because he never had much of a head for figures. It is an agricultural concern. The former Croum Princo was always fond of tho land, and he is now busying himself by organising a model farm. He wants to make his farm one of the best in Germany. He was always keen on horses, and in the days of his splendour, v’hen he looked to the time of succeeding his father on the German Throne, he had more than one stable filled with magnificent animals. But he has partiality for East Prussian horses, and he has begun to breed them, not for his health, hut in order to make

money. He has already sold quite a number of these horses to farmers on Silesian territory, and the animals are doing very well.
The ex-Crown Prince is a big landowner in Silesia. Ho tilled his farms before the war, but owing to bis economic situation, which has undergone a serious change, he has been obliged to let his farms. He has a magnificent residence, called “Cccilienhof,” named after his wife, near Potsdam. He spends a great deal of his time there; but he has an office in Berlin which he visits every day, like any other business man.
He io the representative of his father, who has a deal of property in Germany, and os the eldest son he plays an important part in its administration. Wilhelm, in spite of his agricultural undertakings and his management of the ex-Kuiser’s estates, can still find time to interest himself in the development o' industry and art under the Republic. He always had troops of friends, and since his fall from Crown Prince to ar ordihary German citizen he has made many new acquaintances in Berlin. His amusement consists in attending a good theatrical performance or an interesting film, and he has not given up hi.' liking for sport. It was his ambition to be a great polo player, and after the lapse of seventeen years he has again taken up this sport. Tennis and golf also claim him.
