OFFICERS BLAMEWORTHY. NAUTICAL COURT’S FINDING. United Press Assn.—Elec. Tel.—Copyright CAPETOWN, November 13. The Court found the Captain of the Hypatia, wrecked on October 29, guilty of a serious error of judgment; the chief officer guilty of culpable negligence, and the second officer guilty of contributory negligence. The British and South American Steam Navigation Company’s 5728 tons steamer Hypatia, engaged .in a direct cargo service to New York/ went ashore on Whale Rock, a mile off Robbin Island, at the entrance to Table Bay in a mist. She was heavily loaded and became firmly fixed on the rocks which tore out her bottom.
