AROUND THE GREENS. TO-MORROW'S GAMES. Following arc the fixtures on the respective greens to-morrow: Claudelands: Ordinary draw; rinks visit Hamilton East. 1 Frankton Railway: One rink will visit Taupiri and four rinks from Te Awamutu will play on the Railway Green Whltlora: Ordinary club draw. Hamilton East: Inter-club games with Claudelands. Hamilton: Continuation of olub handicap doubles, champion rink competition, and ordinary draw. Frankton: Ordinary club matches; a rink will visit Taupiri. THE FRANKTON OLUB. TOURNAMENT ON WEDNESDAY. The rinks tournament which the Frankton Bowling Club is arranging for its green on Wednesday next promises to attract very strong support. The entries will close with the secretary (Mr E. R. Rurton) to-morrow evening. CLAUDELANDS RINKS. The .following rinks,have been selected to represent Claudelands in the inter-c'lub match with Hamilton East at the Hamilton East green. Matthew Trophies.—Holders: C. A. Speight, C. R. Speight, W. Fraser, G. Clevely (s) v. Challengers: Butt, H. White, J. Priscott, J. Baillie (s). THE CAMBRIDGE CLUB. TOURNAMENT ENTRIES. A combined meeting of the Executive and Tournament Committee of the Cambridge Bowding Club was held on Wednesday night. The secretary reported that although it was nearly six months to the Easter tournament there w r ere 42 entries in hand, leaving only 12 vacancies. The committee was greatly concerned about the matter, as it was realised that quite a number of regular and popular patrons had not yet entered. ■lt was decided to close the tournament when full, it being proved that this was the most satisfactory system. It was agreed, after some discussion, .to adopt the two-life system in the post section play of the tournament. Personnel of Teams. Some discussion arose over the matter of teams playing a member of another club. The rule as it stands reads: “Excepting those outside the Auckland Province, the teams must comprise members of the same club.’’ It was agreed that the words “Auckland Province” be altered to “South Auckland Centre.” It was decided to close the entries for the pairs match at 6.30 on Easter Monday, and to start play at 9 a.m. on the Tuesday. Messrs R. Webber and S. Armstrong were re-appointed greens manager and asssitant tournament secretary respectively. Howden Shield. The sole selector (Mr H. H. McCathie) reported having chosen the following team 'to represent Cambridge for the Howden Shield: —C. H.t Cooper (lead), S. K. James (No. 2), J. Mclvor (No’. 3), A. Pearce (s).
