TRAGEDY IN IRAQ.
PREMIER FOUND SHOTSUICIDE INDICATED. United Press Assn.—Elec. Tel.—Copyright. BAGDAD, Nov. 13. Sir Abdul Muhsin Beg al Sadun, Prime Minister of Iraq, was found shot dead to-day. It is believed that he committed suioideSir Abdul Muhsin Beg al Sadun had been Prime Minister of Iraq since January, 1928. Previously he had occupied that position from November, 1922, to December, 1923Abdul Muhsin possessed notable administrative gifts, and he was regarded as a " safe " man, and he created a good impression as Premier and as President' of the Constituent Assembly during the stormy days of the treaty debates.

Muhsin, the President, shot himself in the presence of his family. He had previously written to his son explaining the reasons. The letter attributes his suicide to his countrymen’s misjudgment of his efforts on behalf of Iraq, and regarding him as atraitor to his country and a servant of the British.
