A Dusseldorf message states the latest police theory is that "Jack-the-Ripper” is disguised as a woman. As children and women have been warned against a man, it is believed the murderer is posing in feminine attireNews from Dusseldorf states that the police are investigating the theory that Jack the Ripper is a woman. Inspector Gennal, the great Berlin detective, who has been specially summoned, is taking part in the search. The police declare that they have obtained evidence that a mysterious woman distributed sweets to children with whom the latest victim was playing on the evening before her disappearance. J An Important aspect is that the woman is reported to have had a hoarse voice, which would help her to pass for a man if she dressed as one. A further scrutiny of the map reveals that the writing is distinctly of a feminine character.
Objects found by a digging party in a field on the outskirts of the city consist of a woman’s hat, a blouse and a bunch of keys.
