FARMER SERIOUSLY INJURED. FRACTURED SPINE SUSTAINED. (Special to Times.) CAMBRIDGE, Thursday. Serious injury was sustained by Mr A- \V. Lynds, married, aged 45 years, of Leamington yesterday, when he was knocked down by a cow and his spine fractured and dislocated. Mr Lynds, while at a clearance sale on Mr J. W- Peake’s farm at Roto-o-rangi, was assisting to draft some cows through a gate when one of them got out of control and, rushing to pass through the gate, caught the unfortunate man with one of its horns, knocking him down. Mr Lynds was taken home and later conveyed to the Waikato Hospital, where inquiries to-day show that his condition is regarded as serious.
