SWIMMING.

AUCKLAND CENTRE. AUSTRALIAN LAD IBIS' VISIT. AUCKLAND, Thursday. The Auckland 'Centre of the New Zealand Amateur Swimming Association met last evening. The secretary of the Mount Eden Swimming Club notified the centre that he had received word from the New South Wales Ladies’ Swimming Association stating that Misses Jean Cocks and Edna Davey had accepted the invitation of the Mount Eden Club to visit Auckland in February. The Mount Eden Club made written application to the centre asking it to forward an official invitation to the Australian Amateur Swimming Union for the tour to take place. The centres decided to reoommend the Mount Eden Club’s application to the New Zealand Council for approval.
