At five o'clock, owing to heavy rain, an adjournment was made to the pavilion, where Mr Coutts announced that, as it had been impossible to finish the afternoon round, Ihe committee had decided to award the shield on the morning round, in that there had been a lie in games, two each, but Hamilton had won in the aggregate points, so it took the shield in accordance with the ruie dealing with 1 his contingency. Mr Thomson then presented the shield to Mr Meredith. ROTORUA TOURNAMENT. ROTORUA, Wednesday. The entries of 55 teams have been received for the first tournament of the Rotorua Bowling Club, to be held In February next. Teams have entered from Auckland, Whakatane, Wellington, Opotild, Tauranga, Masterton, Wanganui, Gisborne, and other North Island towns. MORRINSVILLE CLUB. The following handicaps have been declared in the Morrinsvilie Club’s competitions:— Handicap Pairs.—Branch and Soanes, scratch; Donald and Fulton, 2; Butler and Iletherington, 4; Crowe and Sing, 4; Mcharry and N. Howie, 5; Donaldson and Cameron, 6; G- Howie and Woodley, 7; D. Coghiil and T- Turner, 8; O’Brien and Mulcahy, 8; Chapman and Moffat, 10. B Grade Singles Handicap.—Fulton, scratch; Soanes, scratch; D. Goodwin, 2; Mulcahy, 6; McGregor, 7; H. Turver, 7;. Murray, 10; Ferguson, li. The following is the draw for the Championship Pairs. —Donald and Welch, Martin and 'Mcharry, Crowe and Donaldson, D.
