WESTFIELD MARKET.

BEEF PRICES MAINTAINED.

LITTLE OHANGE IN PIGS,

Prices for beef cattle, particularly the heavy-weight lines, declined slightly at the weekly Westfield fat stock sale yesterday. There was an average yarding and the majority of the ox beef was of excellent quality. Choice and prime cow and heifer beef alone sold on a par with late quotations:—

The supply of lambs also was not sufficient to meet requirements. Those offering met with a ready sale at improved prices.

There was a slightly larger yarding of calves, and prices generally \vere inclined to case. Exceptions were a runner which realised £lO 10s, and a choice vealer which was sold for £7 7s d.
