The chairman of directors of the Farmers’ Auctioneering Company, Mr Walter Seavill, is a practical farmer with a wide knowledge of business, and a capacity for finance. A Dorset man, he was born at Swanage, and came to New Zealand with farming experience, in 1894. After remaining a short time In the Nelson and Hawke’s Bay districts, he took up a block of land at Waingaro, where he has resided for ‘the past 30 years, raising cattle and sheep. lie is a Justice of the Peace, was for years a member of the Raglan County Council, a member of tiie Waikato Hospital’ Board and a member of the subprovincial executive of the Farmers’ Union. He is a man of sound judgment and his marked ability should prove of immense value in guiding this great organisation.
