PROGRESS IN DOMINION. THE ANNUAL ASSEMBLY. AUCKLAND, Friday. In his annual report to the Assembly of the Baptist Union of New Zealand to-day, the Rev. M. W. P. Lascelles, secretary-treasurer, nounced that there were now 7385 members of the Baptist in New Zealand. There had been 717 additions to the membership and 406 baptisms recorded. Reference was made to the zeal and expansion of the work among the young people. The treasurer’s statement showed a credit balance in nearly all the funds of the union. The accumulated funds, including investments, now amount to £33,836 17s. The total sum of £27,396 has passed through the union office for the year, being an increase of practically £IO,OOO on last year.
