IMPORTED PIGS TO BE MARKED. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) PALMERSTON N., Friday. A meeting of the Council of the New Zealand Pig Breeders’ Association discussed the reports of fishiness in bacon and decided to write to the Meat Board protesting against the release of statements concerning the complaints before any investigation had been made. Bacon factories are to bo asked to report on their experiences with the supposed trouble. The Perrett Shield contest for most points in pedigree Berkshire pigs was allocated to the Hawke's Bay A. and P. Association.
