RAID ON OPIUM DEN
SEVEN CHINESE FINED. AUCKLAND, Wednesday. The seven Chinese who were arrested when detectives made a raid on a house at Grey's Avenue, last Wednesday, appeared in the Police Court yesterday on charges arising from the discovery of prepared opium and articles used in smoking opium. All were convicted, the minimum penlty being imposed in each case, rangig from £SO to £l2 10s.
