CHINA’S ANNIVERSARY.

LOOAL CELEBRATIONS. To-morrow, the tenth of the tenth month, is the National Day of the Chinese Republic, the anniversary of the outbreak of the revolution at Wuchang, Central China, in 1911. Tlie annual celebrations were held in Hamilton last Sunday, when large numbers of Chinese from tlie town and from as far afield as Te Kuitl, _Te Aroha and Iluntly gathered at the Kuo Min Tang headquarters in liood Street (iiid pledged their loyalty, to the Republic anew. A banquet followed, at which several Hamilton friends of the Chinese were entertained. Last year the Chinese shops were closed on the National Day, but it is understood that this course will not be followed this year.
