Cecil Huia Tyler, a young married man, pleaded guilty to having failed to 'account for sums amounting to £23 5s 8d to Hart, Pennington, Ltd., and seven 'charges of false pretences involving £29 2s 6d. lie was given twelve months’ reformative detention. The. story told showed that ojeeused, after getting into difficulties in Auckland, had been given repeated opportunities by Mr. Hart to make good, but abused them all. A period of discipline was considered necessary. Accused’s trouble was atti’ibuted to drink.
