CLAYBIRD SHOOTING,
MORRINSVILLE GUN CLUB. The Morrinsville Gun Club held its weekly shoot on Saturday. The day being beautifully fine a very pleasant afternoon was spent. The following were the results of the shooting:— First Sweep, 7 birds, 16yds.—Parlour, A. Aitken, Findlay, and Sharp shot six birds each and divided. Eight entries. Second Sweep, 7 birds, all 16yds.— Parlour and W. .Aitken shot the possible and divided. Eight entries. Third Sweep, 7 birds, 16yds.—A. Aitken, possible, 1; Findlay and Sharp, 6 each, divided second money. Fourth Sweep, 7 birds, 16yds.—A. Aitken and Sharp shot the possible and divided. Seven entries. Fifth Sweep, 6 birds, Handicap.— A. Aitken, 14yds,, possible, 1; W. Aitken, 14yds, and Findlay, 11yds, 5 each, and divided second money. Five entries. Sixth Sweep, single barrel. —A. Aitken. Seventh Sweep, 7 birds, Handicap. —Findlay, 29yds, and Parlour, 14yds, shot 6 birds each and divided. Eighth Sweep, Quail Drive.—Parlour W. Aitken and Findlay shot 3 each, and divided. Five entries. Ninth Sweep, all at 20yds.—A. Aitken, W. Aitken and Fitt, shot 3 each, and divided. Five entries.
